Crash Bandicoot returns for another mobile phone outing in Vivendi Games Mobile's Crash of the Titans. The game is now available on mobile phones all throughout Europe and will be available in North America in November.

The mobile version of Crash of the Titans will let players "hijack" enemies, taking control of them and using their abilities against other enemies. This is done by having Crash leap on an enemy and slam his magical mask over the enemy's face. Players can control up to 15 enemies, each with their own attacks and special moves.

Crash of the Titans is also available on the Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable. Check out the screenshots below for a preview of the mobile version.

Vivendi's Crash Bandicoot coming to N-Gage - Image 1There's no stopping N-Gage now, or so it seems, as Nokia just announced a new addition to the future titles that will be gracing the resurrected mobile platform. After inking a deal with Capcom yesterday, the giant mobile phone company said today via a press release that it has reached an agreement with Vivendi Games to bring Crash Bandicoot to N-Gage.

This really is a fine addition to N-Gage's library of games and is sure to attract a lot of gamers. The whole Crash Bandicoot franchise, in case you don't know, has sold more than 33 million units worldwide. Having another iteration on the mobile gaming arena just proves that the rivalry between Crash and Dr. Neo Cortex is still very much in style and at pace with the changing times.

"We are excited to offer Nokia customers the opportunity to enter the thrilling world of Crash Bandicoot and play a number of award winning titles from the popular Crash franchise. We look forward to working with Nokia to offer entertaining, innovative mobile games," said Vivendi Games Mobile President Paul Maglione.

There is still no word as to what kind of Bandicoot title N-Gage will be getting. Also, there is still no word as to whether it's going to be a launch title or not.

In addition to this, the press release said that the game has a fully interactive environment which allows players to "use floors, doors, walls, and other features to take cover and wreak havoc on foes." Crash - Image 1Crash may be the naughty and fun-loving critter that we love for most of the time, but there are times in a video game character's life when he has to stop, think seriously and take the side of the angels in a noble cause. He's set to stop Dr. Neo Cortex in Crash of the Titans on the Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Sony PlayStation Portable and mobile platforms later this year but before he does, he's got more important things in mind.

Crash is currently involved in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's School & Youth program which aims to raise awareness and support from America's youngsters about various blood cancers. He'll be appearing in posters, leaflets and different activities to drum up the campaign and get help where it's needed.

If you haven't heard, Crash has been part of the same movement before. Last year, the Society and Vivendi Games have joined forces in a similar plight and ended up with US$ 18 million in funds to donate to research institutions. They hope to top that this year by bringing in more kids to the scene.

Vivendi's executive vice president of Human Resources expressed the company's sense of honor in the part they are playing to fight blood diseases and said, "Crash is a bandicoot with a big heart; he’s brave, he’s loyal and he’s always ready for a good fight and a great cause. We feel this is a winning combination for a tremendous cause."

Crash Bandicoot is one of the most popular platform-type video game franchises of all time, selling more than 35 million copies of its games ever since its field day in 1996.

Leisure Suit Larry: Love For Sail - Image 1Vivendi Games Mobile, a division of Vivendi Games, is giving European mobile phone subscribers a chance to win a Nintendo Wii video game system in exchange for their "worst ever date" stories.

"Terrible dates are something that everyone experiences but few ever really talk about, so this is a chance to celebrate Larryness and engage in some collective laughter therapy courtesy of Nintendo and MySpace," said Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile.

This contest is part of Vivendi's campaign to drum up support for the recently-launched mobile game Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail. The game is now available on wireless networks throughout Australia, New Zealand, and across Europe. Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail will soon be launching on carriers in North America as well.

Those interested have until August 8 to post their worst date story to the Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail Myspace web page and add Larry as their "top friend." You can click on the Read link to head there. There will be five winners in all - one each from the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
