Kane and Lynch: Dead Men IO Interactive small - Image 1For those unfamiliar with IO Interactive's Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, it is pretty much a story about what happens when you put together a paranoid schizophrenic individual and a mercenary in a life or death situation. While there has been extensive coverage on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of this game since its North American launch last November 13, some may have failed to notice that it was also released on mobile phones.

Head on over to the full article to know more details and see more screenshots of Kane & Lynch: Dead Men.

Commodore Gaming, in collaboration with mobile entertainment publisher Kiloo, announced today that they have reached an agreement to develop C64 games and resurrect them on mobile phones. For the next two years, the two companies will be working together to bring more than 20 classic titles from the well-loved Commodore 64 back catalogue.

The first batch of these upcoming classic games for mobile are the following:
  • Jupiter Lander - a precision game demanding thruster skills to navigate and land on the platforms in varying environments. (Screens below)
  • Triad - a game that combines Tic Tac Toe with space shooting action
  • Jack Attack - a game where you'll have to guide your little critter around various levels, moving bricks around to crush your green foes.
Bala Keilman, CEO at Commodore Gaming says,

By working with Kiloo to bring a number of titles from the C64 to the global mobile market, we can use an innovative way to encourage people who would never otherwise consider themselves 'gamers', to try classic titles, which are simple, accessible and timeless.

Well. Definitely can't argue with that. And while we hail innovative new games, it's still fun to see our well-loved classic titles keeping up with technology to bring us some good old skool fun. We'll keep you posted for more.

KilooDanish games publisher Kiloo, a publisher of best-selling games based on well-known global brands like Happy Tree Friends and LEGO, has just inked an agreement with Terraplay to connect its games to the Terraplay Global Gaming Network. The deal will allow Kiloo to build more community features into its titles and will open up new viral marketing and distribution opportunities for the publisher as well.

With the power of the Terraplay Global Gaming Network behind its already-popular titles, Kiloo has just increased its presence in the mobile gaming market. Through the newly-inked agreement, Kiloo can now incorporate community, multiplayer, and in-game billing capabilities into each of the company's titles. What this means for gamers is that they will now be able to participate in global or local competitions, appear on global leader boards, play online against players from all over the globe, send game recommendations to friends by typing in their phone number into a game, and stay in touch with their friends through buddy lists.

"Kiloo's goal is to push mobile gaming into the mass market," says Jacob Møller, the founder and chief executive of Kiloo. "Terraplay's Global Gaming Network allows a wide range of new services to be introduced to our games. We're delighted to be working with Terraplay to create some new and exciting opportunities for our games in the global mobile market."
