Logitech QuickCam Pro - Image 1For those who are sick and tired of looking at grainy pictures whenever they're engaged in video conferencing, Logitech has the solution for you: the new Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and the Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks.

Logitech, one of the forefronts in computing peripheral technology, pulled all the stops in creating two of the advanced online video devices to date, even incorporating the Carl Zeiss lens technology into its products. Logitech is proud of its latest achievement to date. Gina Clark, Logitech's general manager of Internet Communications said:

People will be amazed by the outstanding image quality of these webcameras. Logitech’s goal with our webcams has always been to better connect people from around the world. With Carl Zeiss, the company that essentially invented the science of camera optics, we are closer to making video communications nearly indistinguishable from having a conversation in the same room.

Carl Zeiss, whose optical technology has been around for 160 years, made sure that the image quality in these new webcams will provide utmost image clarity. Also powered with a premium autofocus system, the webcams automatically compensate for any change in image sharpness so users don't need to adjust the cams.

The cameras are also packed with nifty 2-megapixel sensors that enable the camera to capture 8-megapixel photos, and are integrated with RightSound and RightLight2 technologies that enhance not only the picture quality but audio as well. The ability to record video with a 30 frames per second rate will also make for high-resolution video capture.

Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks work seamlessly with standard online messaging programs, such as Skype, Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, and AIM. For enhanced video messaging experience, Logitech provides Logitech Video Effects for use with their webcams, providing users with avatars, face accessories, and Fun Filters to add more color to the same old drab video conference. The Logitech Video Effects are free to download at the company's site, logitech.com/videoeffects.

Okay, we admit we are one of the people who are so fond of taking pictures of almost anything that interests us, and we believe that being able to take pictures with camera phones has been one of the best features that ever happened to mobile phones.

So, we are happy to announce that the UK companies Pocket Picks and Scoopt will be giving away a Nokia N73 mobile phone to the best mobile snaphot, this month of October. If you happen to be living in the UK, just submit interesting photos which you think would be interesting to at least a hundred other people out there, and we're talking about something really eye-catching here (we know your cat is lovely, but still...). The themes of your photos can range from social problems, an interesting event in your town, a out-of-this-world stunt you saw performed, or whatever you think would surely grab people's attention. Just remember to add a short caption to your photograph to make it more interesting, and voila! At the end of the month, the person with the most interesting photograph and story will win a brand-new Nokia N73, so that he or she can take more photos using its integrated 3.2 megapixel camera with a Carl-Zeiss optical lens for print-quality photos.

Think you got what it takes? Then read on after the Jump to find out how to join the contest!

You can now rejoice as the newest installments to Nokia's Nseries multimedia computer range are finally being shipped worldwide. The Nokia N93 and N73 are headed to retail stores as we speak (or as you read).

The N93 and N73 phones are said to be the standard of what mobile phones will be in the future. With their 3.2-megapixel cameras with Carl Zeiss optics, internal memory of 50MB, and 2.4-inch QVGA displays, you can't go wrong with these phones. Both phones will run on Symbian 9.1 OS with the S60 user interface.

The N93 is also perfect as a digital camcorder, as you can shoot DVD-quality like videos at 30fps. Connectivity features of this unit include UPnP, TV-out, WLAN, EDGE, GPRS,UMTS, and tri-band GSM-support. It can also store up to 1500 songs on the 2GB miniSD card which you can listen to on the phone's digital music player.

The N73 on the other hand, will come in two variants - one with quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity while the other has UMTS support. Another great feature of the N73 is its ability to be transformed into a universal eBook reader which can access more than 25,000 eBooks in several languages.

So be sure to go to your Nokia shops to purchase these feature-packed phones from Nokia. I know I would (if I have enough funds, that is).
