CES 2007 is coming soon and of course, gaming isn't the only sector well-represented. The world of mobile phones would also be in attendance for that huge event and one of those companies who will be making their presence felt is South Korean company, Samsung. Treat this as just a teaser of what they have in store for us this coming CES.

Anyhow, some of their mobile innovations will be presented at the said event. Two of them is the Samsung F500 and F300 - these phones have two sides wherein each side has a dedicated use. Although they were already partially displayed at the ITU Telecom Show in Hong Kong, much has not been revealed about them. Both phones are 3G/HDSPA.

The other two are the Ultra Music phone and Ultra Video phone. The sleek Ultra Music phone is blessed with an MP3 player, a 2.1" display, and a B&0 amplifier to boot. On the other hand, the Ultra Video supports DivX, MP4, WMV, and AVI, plus it has a 2.4" display. Both have 2 mega pixel cameras. Nice! Here they are, on the left is the Ultra Video phone while the Ultra Music phone is the one on the right hand side.

Intant video To-Go

For the PSP, iPod and Mobile phone videophiles out there, we've just picked news on a video converter you might wanna check out. ADS just announced the release of their new InstantVideo To-Go product, which allows for easy conversion to the H.264 (.mp4) format your PSPs and iPod can gobble up easy.

For use between your PC and your portable device, this USB key speeds up the painfully long download time you guys have probably experienced when trying to download your LOTR Trilogy into your iPod or PSP. ADS also claims that a five-hour encoding session can be done in as fast as 20 minutes. The other good news is that this hardware-based encoder should be easy to use even for guys encoding for the first time - most of the process is already automated, with it being able to handle the following formats: MP4, MP3, AVI, WMV, MOV, RM, JPG, and TIFF.

The bad news: Better start saving up, as this little device will go for US$ 79.95 - about the price of one Blu-Ray game for the PS3. Unless you're one rich dude with tons o' dough to throw around, then go ahead and get one.

LG's music phone

LG has just launched the KG338 in China. A member of LG's line of Chocolate music phones, the KG338 has a unique roller design between its 262k-color TFT screen and the numeric keypad. As a music phone, the KG338 supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, 3gp, and MP4 formats. The roller is used to scroll through the playlist and acts as the phone's main music control along with a pair of buttons at each side of it.

Like all recent phones, the KG338 supports both Bluetooth and USB connectivity. That means you can play multiplayer games with the Bluetooth connection. Using Bluetooth, you can also use the KG338 as a walkie-talkie. The USB plug and play feature lets you use the phone like a thumb drive. This GSM phone also has a 1.3 megapixel camera that you can use to take pictures or video.

The KG338 has an internal memory of 32MB and can record up to 90 minutes of audio. It's got a Transflash expansion slot and comes with a bundled 128MB card.

The KG338 is now available in China and retails for about $200 US.
