While the Nintendo Wii and DS version for Line Rider has already been announced, it seems that the project's product line has stretched that much further: Line Rider is set to slide onto mobile phones as well. The PC internet meme game has surely become a phenomenal hit and it's, according to Chris L's words, "right up there with JezzBall and Internet pictures of Natalie Portman." Right-o, Chris. Anyways, anyone who's familiar with Line Rider knows that one of the biggest features (and here's when the whole "meme" factor kicks in) is that you can share your very own Line tracks to other users. Both Nintendo versions have confirmed support for this feature, and now, with a mobile version (also with "track-sharing" support) set to be released, exchanging Line tracks with your friends becomes that much "on the fly." Create tracks on your mobile phone, share them online, transfer them to the Wii, put them on your DS... this meme from Bostjan Cadez proves to be one unending ride. In-Fusio is picking up the publishing rights on mobile, and CEO Frank Keeling says: Line Rider is a perfect application for mobile. It's fun, simple, addictive, and viral. We look forward to expanding the robust Line Rider community to mobile phones throughout the world. While the game has strong a "pick-up-and-play" factor, adding the mobile platform to its version line-up will definitely stretch its influence. |

Gamasutra had a chat with In-Fusio's Senior VP of Marketing, Andy Babb, about being a part of Microsoft's Live Anywhere stint via the recently launched Halo: Mobile Portal. The Halo: Mobile Portal makes it possible for cellphone users to get updated on Halo 3, with wallpapers, ringtones, game tips, as well as Xbox Live stats. The interview tackles topics such as "The Vault", the Halo community, and why they didn't wait until Halo 3 was released before launching the mobile portal. According to Babb, the mobile edition of Halo couldn't have been postponed any longer because this app is something that the Halo community has been asking, no, demanding from them for a long time now. And with such strong demand from the community, they simply couldn't say no. As for "The Vault", this is where the unlockable goodies are stored, and can only be accessed via codes derived from the Halo universe. Each code will be able to access a specific item of specialty content. There are codes hidden in online places that Halo fans frequently visit while some will simply be revealed in time. For more info, and if you'd like to jazz up your cellphone with Halo goodies, read on by clicking on the link below. |

Recently, IN-FUSIO, an international mobile games and entertainment publisher renewed its exclusive partnership with Amaury Sport Organisation, official organiser of the Tour de France. This could only mean one thing: a Tour de France game for your mobile phones. The Tour de France game on mobile phones is available in Europe, North America, and Asia for Java, ExEn and EGE platforms. It tries to recreate all the excitement and challenges that is the Tour de France. It is a combination of arcade action and cycling simulation, plus it is easy to play and offers hours of entertainment with three different modes, including "Tour de France," "Quick Race," and "Challenges." Players will be put to the test with each of the sprint and mountain stages that make up the 3653 km course. Future players will have to choose the best race strategy to secure first place in each of the three official classifications of this Grande Boucle competition: - Yellow jersey: players must finish first in each of the 21 stages - Polka dot jersey: players must secure the best times through the mountain stages - Green jersey: players must accumulate the most points in the sprint stages This one was developed by MIG Studio and aside from its exciting gameplay, it also incorporates a great deal of realism by including key elements of the cycling discipline. Players will have to watch their breathing, relay passes, tire damage, and endurance for the sprints and mountain climbs. The Tour de France mobile game will be available for download beginning June 2006 via leading European, North American and Asian operators. To help you decide if you'd like this game on your phone, here are some of the mobile game's screens.
