We're just as surprised as you are. The Nintendo DS may have been the prime platform to release the sequel - if ever they were to make one - to Final Fantasy IV, but a recent discovery over the Internet has swept that possibility aside. While a sequel was officially confirmed, it was not to arrive on Nintendo's handheld.Details follow in the full story. |

NTT DoCoMo is one of Japan's biggest wireless operators. So it is only logical that consumers would expect the bigger innovations to come from them. The company delivered indeed last Monday after announcing five new 3G FOMA 904i models capable of motion-sensing gameplay. Accordingly, the motion-sensing capability has been made possible because of Chokkan Game support. After downloading the games from online sites, consumers can play these mobile titles by using intuitive motions such as tracing a finger and tilting or waiving the handset. Of course, the type of motion is dependent on the game's content. The new phones sport pre-existing features common to DoCoMo units. But aside from the above mentioned, they will also have the following:

NTT DoCoMO announces a brand new phone that will proudly carry it's very own FOMA brand -- the Panasonic p702iD. The phones under the FOMA brand, which is being offered by NTT DoCoMo, is the first commercial brands of handhelds to have 3G capability. Since DoCoMo was the first carrier to roll out 3G network technology, DoCoMo used technologies different from the European UMTS standards, which were not ready early enough for DoCoMo's roll-out. Recently, DoCoMo is working to modify FOMA to conform fully with UMTS standards over time. The spotless and very shiny p702iD is available in 4 types of colors- square white, square black, round coral, and round pink...although I personally do not have a clue as to why the color choices are named as such because the phones still look the same in any color. Moving along, the phone is blessed with a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT LCD with resolutions of 240 x 320, 0.8 inch organic external display (96 x 25), 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera with an internal 0.1 megapixel CMOS camera for video conferencing. Also, this baby could accommodate a miniSD plus the phone has a maximum storage capacity of 2GB. If fully charged, this DoCOMo phone has a talk time of 140 minutes and standby time of 500 hours. FOMA P702iD weights 109 grams with the size of 49 x 100 x 19.7. For now, there is no available info with regards to pricing and availability. |
