When the World of Warcraft edition Dell XPS M1730 laptop was first introduced, we imagined that a lot of you guys weren't able to purchase it because of its rather high price. Remember earlier this month when a patent file by Blizzard was found? The patent described a virtual network telecommunications service called BattleChat for World of Warcraft. The idea of playing MMOs on your mobile phone may seem a little far fetched, but according to Vivendi Games Mobile boss Paul Maglione mobile aspects may soon become a part of all MMOs. This subtle remark may have something to do with the mobile project that Blizzard has mentioned before, although no solid plans have yet been revealed about it.

Vivendi recently confirmed its Q3 guidance, and it racked up performance with accurate ties to market analysts' expectations. Apparently, their guidance also falls in confidence with observers in the business market, reassuring investors that its full year outlook is on-track.

Though the conglomerate-like Vivendi ran through Q3 of fiscal year 2007 with flying colors, its own video game publishing segment holds a success story in itself. Vivendi Games' performance also grew with the rest of the corporate umbrella. Read on to find out why.

The Games Convention, very much like E3's Best of E3, will brand deserving games as the Best of GC 2007. Kicking off the Golden Joystick Awards' (GJA) 25 years of honoring gaming excellence, the organizers have announced the current short list of nominees for Publisher, Innovation, Retailer and UK Developer of the Year categories, not including several Game of the Year awards for mobile, PC, online, PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, Ultimate (with the inclusion of Blizzard's World of Warcraft), Handheld and Family types.

Other categories include Girls Choice of the Year, All Nighter Award, The One to Watch, and Soundtrack Award, each displaying their respective set of nominees for public scrutiny and voting. These nominees are survivors of the first round of voting, and this time around they will need your every support to make the Golden Joystick grade.

So head over to the Read link provided below to vote on one game per category (click the big Vote Now button), each set of votes earning you a chance to win some secret prize that the organizers have in store. And if you're up to the (financial) challenge, you can also head over to the Hilton Hotel in London's Park Lane this October and witness this year's winners rise to the occasion.

Blizzard Entertainment, as we previously reported, is planning to wreck havoc in the mobile arena. With a news like that, one's thoughts can't help but wonder if World of Warcraft (WoW) will ever appear on a handheld device. It sounds impossible at first but YouTube user viaarena123 has shown that it is actually very plausible.

The videos below show how the user was able to install WoW on OQO Model 2. The device was first shown during this year's Consumer Electronics Show back in January. Model 2 is actually a six-inch PC with a five-inch screen that runs either Windows XP or Vista.

Some of its technical features include 1.2 GHz or a 1.5 GHz processor, up to 1GB of RAM, up to a 60 GB hard drive, has Bluetooth 2.0, and tri-mode WiFi (802.11a/b/g).
