Enter your TITLE here...ARM to demo Android-based 'Google phone' at Mobile World Congress? - Image 1

We present you with one more rumor that involves Google. Accodring to a source close to chipmaking company ARM, the company will be demonstrating an Android-based "Google Phone" prototype at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

As for anything definitive, there weren't any details what the working model will be showed, how it would look like and who would supply its parts.

What's certain is that Google has established an alliance with carriers, handset makers, software firms and chipmakers to develop Android, which is based on an open-source software designed to make the Internet work better on mobile phones.

The company has previously made it known that they do have plans of deploying phones and services using the Android platform during the second half of this year.

Currently, ARM and Google has declined to provide any statement regarding this issue. All we can do at the moment is wait for the Mobile World Congress to come.
