Yahoo! announces onePlace service for mobiles this 2008 - Image 1The Yahoo! company has announced its planned release of onePlace content management solution for mobile phones. The service will allow users to organize their net content into several combined collections.

Needless to explain, this makes it much easier for users to sort whatever links are related to that particular cluster. Here's a rundown of what onePlace can do:

  • Centralized and open content management - Centralize and manage all content collected from the the net
  • Collections - Group content connected to a particular theme.
  • Categories - Organize content according to commonly-used subjects
  • Pulse - Stream updates relevant to users' content.
  • Favorites - Surface the content a consumer uses most frequently.
  • Dynamic updates - See previews for selected sources that are kept fresh throughout the day.
  • Mobile RSS reader
Yahoo! currently expects onePlace to launch some time within Q2 2008. That's the current information we've picked up so far regarding this new service - visit us again in case new details are released.
