Windows Home Server - Image 1If you are using Windows Media Home Server, be advised that utilizing certain programs to edit and save files may corrupt your data. This could be a potential problem for those who use laptops for their work and backup their files to a central server.

Among the programs that are said to corrupt files include:

  • Windows Vista Photo Gallery
  • Windows Live Photo Gallery
  • OneNote 2003
  • OneNote 2007
  • Outlook 2007
  • Microsoft Money 2007
  • SyncToy 2.0 Beta
Other users have also found out that torrent applications, Intuit Quicken, and QuickBooks program files were also affected by this bug. As of this article's writing, Microsoft is looking into the problem and will be posting more updates as soon as possible.
