The Spiderwick Chronicles from Vivendi Games Mobile - Image 1

It looks like a good year for mobile gamers in Europe as Vivendi Games Mobile releases its game line-up for the first half of 2008. Some titles look promising, with the likes of Prison Break, The Bourne Conspiracy, and The Spiderwick Chronicles making their way into mobile phones.

So what's on the list? A lot. With games that range from kart racing to breaking out of prison, there's certainly something for everybody. Check them out:
  • Celebrity Hangman - You can submit your own Hangman Celebrity lists to the official website and your list might make it into the weekly downloadable pack.
  • Crash Nitro Kart 2 - This iteration of the kart racing title includes eight characters, eight karts, sixteen tracks, and five different gameplay modes (Cup, Arcade, Challenges, Sudden Death and Monster Truck). Crash Nitro Kart also boasts of a Turbo Plane Mode and a Mega Boost mode along with tracks underwater and in outer space.
  • Prison Break - Play as Michael Scofield in this mobile iteration of the hit series from Fox, Prison Break. Like the TV series, you'll have to conspire with the other inmates, collect clues, and solve puzzles.
  • Pub Darts 180 - The second mobile title from the Pub Darts franchise, Pub Darts 180 features single player as well as multiplayer modes.
  • The Bourne Conspiracy - Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne will be coming to mobiles everywhere with this action adventure game. Players learn more moves as they progress in the game as enemies also become challenging.
  • The Spiderwick Chronicles - The mobile game based on the upcoming movie from Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies (and the bestselling books) features five characters with different abilities. Along with the mobile game, The Spiderwick Chronicles is also slated for release on various consoles.
  • Wordox: Word Snatcher - This Scrabble alternative will be Vivendi Games Mobile's first network-connected multiplayer game. Basically, that means you can go online and play against other online players or play single player against AI.
Interested? Well, here's to hoping we'll see this lineup on this side of the Atlantic too.
