USITC to probe Sony, others - Image 1Sony, Matsushita, and Toshiba are among some 30 companies that will be facing an investigation by the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) on possible patent infringement issues.

According to a news release from the commission, the products involved in the investigation are short-wavelength LEDs and laser diodes used in hand-held mobile devices, instrument panels, billboards, traffic lights, high-def DVD players, Blu-ray disc players, and data storage devices.
