Here's a heads-up for our readers who happen to have the second version of the Sony Mylo. The company has recently released a new update for the handheld that will upgrade it to firmware 1.100.

Aside from a routine stability improvement, this new firmware will also add these functions to the Mylo COM-2:

• Adds support for Windows Media video (WMV) files
• Adds support for the SHOUTcast widget (
• Adds a "Game" item on the Mylo HOME menu for easier access to compatible Flash Games downloaded to the COM-2 unit
  

We further note that the SHOUTcast widget is available as a separate download, also via Sony. The firmware update, along with instructions on how to run it, are available via the company's support site over at the source link below. The file will require 61MB of space.
