Sony Ericsson - Image 1To celebrate the Walkman phone series' second anniversary, Sony Ericsson will launch two new additions to the music phone family, packed with features never before seen in any other phone.

The W910 is geared for high speed internet access, built with High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA). The W910's new Walkman controls are also its selling point; you can skip tracks, and select songs with just a flick of the wrist.

The W910 also features SensMe™, basically a new type of sorting through playlists, categorizing them based on tempo and style rather than artist or album. It also has an integrated visual method of sorting through songs.

The W960 on the other hand, is built with Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), as an alternative to the W910's HSDPA. This enables the W960 to receive broadband internet at 2MB per second.

The W960 has a sizable storage enough to cram in about 8,000 songs. It also has its own finger-touch navigation feature that lets you manually sort through playlists on a 2.6 inch display. The W960 is outfitted with a 3.2 megapixel camera, ideal for use as viewfinder as well as for widescreen video viewing.

As we can see, both the W910 and W960 are designed with new ways of controlling and sorting data. The W910, for one, can be held like a handheld console and has an extra motion sensor feature for its 3D games. As for the W960, its Walkman application has a more in-depth navigation feature using the stylus.

Sony Ericsson hasn't released any images for these two phones; but do stay with us as we dig up more information about Sony Ericsson's new music phones!

» It really doesn't even need to be said. BUT...

Gee, motion control and stylus control of the games. I wonder where Sony got those ideas...

Someone was going to say it eventually, so I figured it might as well be me.
