As if waiting for Metal Gear Solid 4 wasn't enough, Konami now has us waiting for Solid Snake to arrive on our mobile phones as well. Metal Gear Solid Mobile is an upcoming game for phones set as a sequel to the third Metal Gear game, Snake Eater.

Metal Gear Solid Mobile is part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the Metal Gear franchise. One quirky feature of the game is the ability to change Snake's outfit by taking shots using your phone's camera.

Like MGS4, the mobile game doesn't have a release date yet, but here's a new trailer to keep our hands itching. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn't have any audio, but who needs sound when your sneaking around anyway?

» The game looks great, but...

there is basically no hope of this ever making its way stateside since Japanese phone tech far surpasses that of the US. Well, at least there is a much larger "install base" of these types of high end phones there. There wouldn't be enough of a market to bring it here since there would be a very small audience capable of running it...which sucks. This game looks sweet, and I would love me some MGS on the go (aside from the excellent MGS: PO).
