Here's another round of Google phone rumors. DigiTimes reports that HTC is indeed manufacturing a handset for Google, citing component makers as sources.

According to the said sources, shipments of the Google phone is set to start at year's end. They also indicated that up to one million mobiles will be shipped during said time. The Google phone is to reach the global market by next year and will be able to support the 3G platform of Texas Instruments plus EDGE. The handset component makers also said that the upcoming handset won't be sporting a GPS feature but it will have G-mail and Google search built-in.

Orange (European telecom provider) is still expected to be the first network provider Google makes a partnership with. The makers also indicated that the Google mobiles will sport dual brand for Google and the telecom provider. The HTC logo will not be on the said handsets, according to the sources.
