Research in Motion logo - Image 1If the relatively expensive price tag of Research in Motion's BlackBerry 9000 puts you off, there's some hope for you to reconsider getting the device. Stolen shots of a certain BlackBerry "Niagara" hint that there's going to be a more affordable version of the 9000. It comes with a price, of course: it's possible that some features will be removed, such as 3G. More on this gadget in the full article.

LG - Image 1With Apple's iPhone now out, the Internet rumor mill has turned its attention onto other smartphones. Today we have some interesting - and, please note, unconfirmed - rumors about LG's new Windows Mobile smartphone.

According to Arne Hess of The Unwired, the new LG smartphone is reportedly being readied for "a semi-exclusive cross-European launch in September". The phone will reportedly have Windows Mobile 6 Professional as well as UMTS.

Furthermore, HSDPA support remains unconfirmed along with the smartphone's supported GSM and UMTS bands. The LG Windows Mobile smartphone is also rumored to have Wi-Fi by default, but some carriers may choose not to activate it.

The design will be similar to the LG Prada and will be touchscreen-centric. The final phone will also reportedly not have the joystick or D-pad that the prototype seen at the 3GSM World Congress had.

After Morning Blog released an unflattering image of the supposedly top-secret Palm Gandolf just a few days ago, two more pictures (of far better quality) were "leaked", showing that the device is running what looks like Windows Mobile Standard - or Smartphone, depending on how you want to call it.

If that's the case, then it would be the first Palm to use the Windows Mobile, steering away from its usual touch-screen interface. The picture does not offer any other information, other than the Vodafone brand (which tells us that this will be offered in Europe as a GSM device), and the two home and back buttons characteristic of devices using Windows Mobile Standard.

It's not yet clear whether the device pictured is the Treo 800w; Palm Infocenter did mention that Verizon will release Treo 755p and Treo 800w sometime this year, but we'll definitely check this device out as more information comes our way, so stay tuned!

HTC Herald's Leaked Images - Image 1 HTC Herald's Leaked Images - Image 2

What do we have right here? Only the most scrumptious photos of HTC Herald that's what. This little delight of a QWERTY according to SoloPalmari has a 2 megapixel camera, 2.8-inch QVGA screen, miniSD slot, 64MB of RAM, 128MB of ROM, packed in its 18 mm thick body.

There weren't a lot of information available yet, but if HTC's Hermes is any indication of the quality that we'll be getting once the Herald is officially out, then there's nothing to worry about. Meanwhile, you can check out this leaked images of the HTC Herald.

Yep, another leak folks. This time, it's about HTC's alleged next PDA, the Trinity. Honestly, these get old after a while and the company's lack of official statement is not helping at all.

As featured here, in an article before, the Trinity possesses several excellent qualities like GPS and runs on Windows Mobile 5.0. Nothing was mentioned however regarding its scroll dial and FM radio. We found two videos that focus on these two.

We are a bit skeptical, to tell the truth, about the dial as it somehow looks easily broken. We, reckon that the FM Radio may consume a lot of the battery power as well. But then again, that's just us. Watch the videos and tell us what you think.

treo750-1A few days ago, QJ reported on some images of an antenna-less Palm smartphone that lead to rumors that Palm's latest baby is to be released soon. Today, the rumor becomes fact as Treo sets a date for the official release of the Lennon-750 or Treo 750 (official name not confirmed yet), Palm Treo's antenna-less smartphone.

Set to take place in a yet undisclosed location in UK, the launch of Palm's newest PDA will happen on the 12th of September. Palm has also disclosed that this device will run on Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, making it the first Windows Mobile device from Palm to use the GSM/GPRS standard. The Treo 750 will also support UMTS, a 3G wireless-networking standard, most popular in Europe.

Some other details about this smartphone has been circulating, but they all can be considered mere speculations for now. For example, Palm recently said that it was going to add short-range wireless networking technology to its smartphones, but has not really committed to any specific model. Hence, it still is a matter of debate if the antenna-less model will indeed have built-in Wi-fi. It supposedly also has a 1.3 megapixel camera and an SD card slot.

New Treo? - Image 1 New Treo? - Image 2 New Treo? - Image 3 New Treo? - Image 4

The pictures may be unofficial but they are just too good to be left unposted. Circulating the netvine right now are images of an antennae-less Palm Treo. A certain hoagie has posted photos of what he calls the Treo Lennon, which he claims was sent to him for a review. A few months back, we featured another antennae-less Treo - but somehow, that Treo just resembled an updated 650/700w's.

Palm, with the need to really and badly update their smartphone line-up, might have good chances with this recent offering...if it turns out to be real. We hope though that they removed only the antennae only and nothing else of Treo's good features. The Treo series is known for having full-featured mobile phones that also allow users web access, Bluetooth technology, MP3 player, and built-in digital camera.

A rumor is going around that an upgrade of Cingular 8125 will be coming in the market this fall. How true could this be?

The rumor says that Cingular 8525 is a HTC Hermes Pocket PC phone branded by Cingular. Both the front camera for video calling and the video calling feature have been removed. It will have a much higher resolution version than its predecessor 8125 (branded as a popular phone back in May) and the image shows a push to talk button on the side. Whether it supports PTT is another issue but some say that Cingular has had PTT for months now.

Whether this rumor is true or not, maybe all we could do is wait for the official word from Cingular. Here is an image of the rumored Cingular 8525:

We've just received news about the supposed leaked Blackberry 8100 dubbed as "Stealth." If the source of this news and pics is to be believed, this is RIM's newest BlackBerry product for the coming season.

The informer (who goes by the name "Random Asian Dude") has provided really crisp pictures of the BlackBerry 8100. From what we see here, the "Stealth" will have a camera, media playback functionality, a microSD slot and EDGE data.

I know what you're probably looking for - WiFi support, right? We don't have confirmation of the aforementioned features yet, much less any info about the 8100 having WiFi support. Not just yet, at any rate. Rest assured, though, that we'll keep you posted, and when definitive details about the BlackBerry 8100 come out, you'll be the first ones to know.

Oh, and lastly, the "Stealth" MIGHT be released this autumn on Cingular. But like we said, we can't confirm that just yet. So just check out these photos and tell us what you think.
