When it comes to mobile phones, Nokia Corporation is known for having a wide line-up of cheaper phones and the rather more expensive multimedia models. The company's weak spot, so to speak, is in its mid-range offering of phones (those tagged at US$ 200 to around US$ 330).

To address this "weakness," the mobile phone maker announced three new handsets that falls into the said mid-range category. If we are not mistaken, Nokia has already unveiled around 26 models this year (the new three included) and its annual average is somewhere around 40. Anyway, the launches include:
  • Nokia 6267. A third generation music and multimedia phone expected to retail for 240 Euros (US$ 321.73) excluding subsidies and taxes.
  • Nokia 6121. A 3G phone expected to sell for 260 Euros (US$ 348.61) excluding subsidies and taxes.
  • Nokia 3500. A traditional-looking phone to sell for 135 Euros (US$ 181).
eQ Bank analyst Jari Honko shared his two-cents' worth: "Nokia has not been terribly strong in the mid-range, and these might help somewhat. he new phones are good looking, they look like improved versions of older ones, but they will not change the world."

The said mobile phones are expected to become available sometime during the next quarter.
