Nokia's N-Gage service - Image 1Cell phone maker Nokia has postponed the launch of its N-Gage gaming service. According to reports from Reuters, the N-Gage gaming service was postponed mainly due to software testing delays.

The N-Gage gaming service was unveiled back in late August and was supposed to launch this month. Kari Tuutti of Nokia revealed that the service will instead be launching in December. Software testing is expected to finish within "a couple of weeks."

Nokia's new music shop also faced problems. Warner Music Group has pulled out its songs from the service, mostly due to concerns about illegal downloads at Nokia's file-sharing site Mosh. Tuutti said that Nokia is "hoping to reach agreement with Warner" and reiterated that they (Nokia) have "done a lot to ensure that content owners' rights are not abused."

The gaming and music service are the cornerstones of Nokia's Ovi brand, which aims to put the cell phone maker on the map in the mobile Internet services market.
