Nokia - Image 1

It seems that cellphone manufacturing giant Nokia Corporation is looking to excel in other markets, as we've just received word that the Finland-based company is rolling out its very own gaming service (with the N-Gage as its centerpiece, of course) as well as media sharing sites. This could be due to falling handset prices and the sudden boom in internet activity - which makes this action from Nokia all the more logical.

And it's not as if Nokia is treading any new ground, here. Two of Nokia's web-based endeavors - namely the Nokia Music Store and file-sharing website Mosh - received a lot of time in the limelight, with a lot of users downloading songs, video clips, programs, and documents through those services. So a step forward is all but treading old ground for Nokia - it's competing with already-established brands like Google the challenge.

What about the N-gage's gaming service, though? With Nokia's first foray into the mobile gaming industry receiving lukewarm attention, it seems that the Finnish company is optimistic with things this time around. But being optimistic doesn't mean being gung-ho - in fact, Nokia only opened the gaming service to a wider market after testing it on N81 multimedia phone users, asking for feedback. It seems that they received quite the good word, or they wouldn't be opening it now, right?

Good for you, Nokia. Here's expecting some pretty awesome stuff from you.
