Nokia Maps 2.0 - Image 1Nokia recently launched Maps 2.0, the latest version of their mobile navigation software, along with the Nokia 6210 Navigator handset. Previously available to only a select few during its beta stage, Maps 2.0 now includes Walk, a navigation component focused on pedestrian traveling.

A logical counterpart to another Maps 2.0 component, Drive, Walk lets people easily navigate through streets with visual indicators and also displays information about buildings. If used with the Nokia 6210 Navigator, Walk will also indicate which way you are walking, since the mobile is equipped with a built-in compass.

Other new features included in Nokia Maps 2.0 is the ability to point you towards the nearest transit stations, as well as receiving optional traffic feeds with dynamic re-routing. It'll be definitely be useful if you're driving late for work.

If you have a compatible Nokia handset and want to check out Maps 2.0 for yourself, you can grab it from the Via link below. But remember that it's still on beta, and the Nokia Care team will not support the feature as of press time.
