How, you ask? Well, Nokia has just launched the Mobile Games Innovation Challenge, inviting parties interested to develop fresh new ideas for mobile games.

This particular event is the first of its kind to encourage the creation of unique concepts. Hopefully these ideas could help push mobile gaming to the next level, while relying on the functionalities and features of N-Gage-, Java-, and Symbian-compatible devices.

Cold hard cash will be rewarded to the top three entries. First prize will get about 40,000 Euro or roughly around US$ 62,892. Second prize will have 20,000 Euro (US$ 31,446).

Lastly, the the third placer will receive 10,000 Euro and that's about US$ 15,723. Regarding this latest event that Nokia will be hosting, director of games publishing from Nokia, Dr. Mark Ollila said:

The pre-production contracts and 70,000 Euro in cash prizes toward development of the winning game concepts is only part of the excitement.

The Challenge also gives developers a chance to truly make their mark on global mobile gaming through unique and positively disruptive gaming concepts never seen before.
