Kids Keitai SA800iLike the US's mobile service that protects kids from sexual predators, Japan also has the Kids Keitai SA800i. Released just this March, the service and the mobile phone itself are gaining in popularity in the country.

Cell phones have become both a necessity and an accessory to most people especially in Japan. NTT DoCoMo Inc.'s Kids Keitai SA800i caters to parents and their young kids. The best feature of this kid-friendly phone is a loud alarm on the back of the handset that gets activated by a switch (that a child turns on when he feels he's in danger). When the alarm goes off, an email containing the child's GPS coordinates is sent to the parents.

As safety of children is the main concern of most parents, the Kids Keitai SA800i by NTT DoCoMo is very useful and very popular in Japan.
