Goodyear logo - Image 1At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), NCC will be showcasing a brand new line of Goodyear licensed GPS units. So far eight different units are expected to be available at the event.

The biggest feature of the Goodyear GPS is its Bluetooth capabilities for handling phone calls. Making this even better is the fact that the remote control of the unit can be fastened to the drivers side visor, placed near the gear shift, or stuck anywhere within reach.

Barry Rosenstock, NCC's Vice President of Operations, spoke about the advantages of the new units over existing systems:

Managing your cell phone by remote control is an entirely new concept in GPS. But it speaks to consumer demand for driver safety and convenience, which is what these devices aspire to provide.

In addition to the aforementioned phone handling capabilities, it will also sport MSN Direct service, 4.3 LCD touch screens, speaker-quality sound, high sensitivity receivers, text-to-speech navigation for spoken street names, millions of points of interest (POIs), MP3 and video playback, A/V inputs, and 2GB of internal and removable SD storage.

That said, in case you plan on joining this year's CES to see this new product and more, it will be held in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10.
