Motorola's Mobile Devices unit declining? - Image 1After earlier reports regarding changes in Motorola Mobile Devices' upper management, we finally have an official announcement: President Stu Reed has left the cellphone giant and no reasons for which was supplied.

There have been a number of other upper management changes within the Motorola's Mobile Devices business since CEO Greg Brown started rocking the boat to revive the said unit. Reed's contributions to the company include the introduction of new products, manufacturing, and organization of the supply chain, among other things.

The rumor mill has been working overtime on Motorola's future plans for its Mobile Devices business. Some speculate that the communications company might just sell its dropping cellphone business, though some argue that Motorola is planning to get out of the rut on its own. We'll keep you updated, stay tuned.
