The mobile phone version of LocoRoco that was already announced quite some time ago, LocoRoco Mobile, is finally bouncing into Japanese handsets. The game is optimized for handsets - the graphics look a bit jagged around the edges - but it still retains the most important aspect of any LocoRoco title: the cuteness factor, and yes, fun.

Judging by the screenshots shown in Japanese gaming webzine Game Watch, everything you'd expect from a LocoRoco game is present, from the superflat 2D environment down to the happy, singing blobs. So far only the yellow blobs are shown; no word if the other LocoRocos made it into LocoRoco Mobile.

LocoRoco Mobile is now available through Japanese mobile networks for 420 yen, or US$ 3.80. There's no word if this title will make it into the Western shores, but we can always hope.
