Jump Festa 2008! - Image 1Well, it's confirmed. If any of you guys have a convenient ticket going to Japan, now would be a good time to book it so you can catch the Jump Festa 2008 event. That's where Square Enix will be previewing the closed door trailer of its upcoming Final Fantasy Fabula Nova Crystallis games, as well as its other highly anticipated titles for next year.

Square Enix has recently updated the Jump Festa 2008 website and revealed the list of game trailers and playable titles that will be available during the event. For those of you lucky enough to find yourselves there from December 22 to December 23, here's the list of featured titles you can expect:

  • Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker (Playable)
  • Dragon Quest IV
  • Final Fantasy IV (Playable)
  • Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon (Trailer)
  • Dissidia: Final Fantasy (Trailer)
  • Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (New Trailer - Closed Theater)
  • Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (New Trailer - Closed Theater)
  • Kingdom Hearts: Coded (New Trailer - Closed Theater)
  • Fabula Nova Crystallis (New Trailers - Closed Theater)
  • Final Fantasy VII AC: Complete (New Trailer - Closed Theater)
  • Star Ocean: First Departure (Trailer)
  • Front Mission 2009: Border of Madness (Trailer)
The setup will be similar to the one implemented during the Tokyo Game Show, where the trailers will be shown in a tightly monitored, closed theater environment. There's also been rumors that the release dates for the said games will be announced during the event. Hopefully, we'll be able to get more information on it later this month once the event begins.

all of the games that matter are in a closed theater. how can i get excited about a game when the only solid evidence of its quality is a trailer that they showed a few years back. for all we know the game has changed drastically from what it was back then. also i want to know what the new style for the kingdom hearts games is going to be. conventions have really gone down hill lately.
