Widgets make dull moments more bearable - when boredom sets in, widgets make it possible to read the latest news, check out weather, view latest TV and movie entries, etc. Now take these virtual tools everywhere you go with Nokia's WidSets.

Stay on top of things and get up-to-date info straight into your mobile phone. WidSets lets you to access your favorite RSS feeds, blogs, and news in your mobile phones. If you'd like to try your hand at creating your own widget, that's also possible with this Nokia service.

To use WidSets, all you'll need is a Java MIDP2.0 phone with 128x128 color screen (higher). The phone doesn't even have to be branded Nokia, as long as it has Internet connection, you're good to go.

I am using Widsets on the Nokia E61 and it works great. I think it is one of the best mobile applications currently available.
