Asphalt 3 - Image 1Mobile phone game developer Gameloft has revealed that the Asphalt series of games has already sold 10 million copies worldwide.

According to Gameloft president Michel Guillemot, this game has joined the "exclusive club where some 50 Gameloft titles have topped the million-in-sales mark." In addition, he added that he expects more games to break the 10 million-in-sales mark this year.

For those who aren't too familiar with the game, the Asphalt series of games puts players in the role of an underground street racer who has to avoid getting caught y the police while competing for fame and cash. The latest release, Asphalt 3: Street Rules came out for multiple phones, most notably the Nokia n-Gage. A fourth game is expected to be released this summer.
